Register for the Public Lecture

This public event is free to attend. Those wishing to attend will need to register here (note that registration for the Public Lecture is separate from registration for the Congress).

COVID Vaccination Requirements

The following information is taken from the Adelaide Convention Centre website:

As of Saturday, 14 May, 2022, visitors to the Adelaide Convention Centre are not required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to gain entry.
The Adelaide Convention Centre remains committed to providing a COVID-Safe environment for all guests and has a comprehensive COVID Management Plan in place, which has been approved by the South Australian Government.
If you are attending an upcoming event at the Adelaide Convention Centre, we ask that you please play your part and help us be COVID Safe by practising proper hand hygiene; adhering to physical distancing by maintaining 1.5m from others where possible; and staying home if you feel unwell.
Please note, as part of our practices to provide a safe and secure environment, access to the Adelaide Convention Centre at this time is for registered event attendees only; there is no public thoroughfare to access the Adelaide Riverbank Promenade.


Post-graduate students - if you don't already qualify for Member registration for the AIP Congress, join the AIP as a Member full-time student for only $30. This offer is available until November 1st 2022 and applies to full-time postgraduate students who hold a recognised Bachelor's degree with a physics major.

Note that Student Associates (free online members) are not AIP members and need to pay the non-member student fee, or, if eligible, join as full-time student Members to take advantage of the Member-discounted registration fee.

Cancellation Fee and Refund Policy

For Delegate registrations:

  • Up to 10th November 2022: Full refund minus $30 administration fee.
  • From 11th November 2022: 50% of payment refunded.
  • From 2nd December 2022: no refund.

For Accompanying Person registrations:
  • Up to 1st December 2022: Full refund minus $20 administration fee.
  • From 2nd December 2022: no refund.

Please note: the cancellation policy may be varied in exceptional circumstances.
